After upgrading to 2.7.1. I keep getting failures on entries when I try to publish them if I do NOT include an image - if an image field is present. However - generally the image field is NOT required.
If I upload the image it succeeds and publishes. If I then edit the record, remove the image and publish it submits fine.
But if I then try to edit the entry again and submit it again without uploading an image I get a “stop sign” on the publish tab and it will not submit.
HELP?!

This is actually what I was about to submit. Basically, if you have a File field and you specify an upload directory, it requires the file even if you’ve set required to No.
If the Allowed directory is set to “All” however it works fine.
EDIT: Safecracker/Channel Form actually works fine, too. It’s just in EE’s CP.
