With regards to members, member groups what are the differences between the Core version and the Commercial version? In the EL store I see that the member module is not part of the Core.  So what does the member module allow you to do?

I’m really trying to decide if I want to use EE for a project. Thank you.

It’s a member management module, so it lets people register on the site and you can organize them into certain groups and have different permissions.  You can have member only features, like maybe templates that require login, or member only comments, etc.  Also used for the forum.

You can use the admin to send updates to members as well.

So let’s say that I have several different member groups (which I assume this module would allow).
    Members for Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D, etc….

Could I have certain channels, pages, categories, forms, show for each different group?
