Copied all directories, updated permissions, exported MySQL db and created/imported db on new server, updated config.php with new db information.

Not getting any db connection errors but public homepage is blank, admin page is unstyled and can’t log-in to admin (error: “The username you submitted was not found in the database”).

Assume I’m missing something obvious. Suggestions?

    Thanks.

You might want to check PHP versions. Your new host may be running too new of a version for 1.6.9. For your unstyled admin page, your paths aren’t set right, but you’ve got to get logged in to reset them, so that doesn’t help. And the error on your username could be related to your PHP version, if it is too new.

Other than that, you would be better off updating to 1.7.3 before you move the install, if you can still backtrack. Then see where you are. Resetting paths for your themes folder once in the CP will clear up the unstyled look.

    Hope this helps,

Thank you for the suggestion. We’re actually skipping ahead and updating to latest EE and transferring/reconfiguring the site from there. Doesn’t really address this particular issue but fits our needs moving forward.
