    Hi,

    I’m using EE 2.6.1 with no modules or any third party plugins installed. Basically, it’s a fresh install. Whenever I submit a change, instead of it being processed correctly it sends me to a white page with the “message_success” and then a message.

    Examples:
    {"message_success":"New Entry Submitted"}
    {"message_success":"Template Group Updated"}

    Originally I had a build (2.6.0) with a ton of modules etc. installed to build a new site and got the message so I cleared everything out and did a fresh installed with no modules and got the same. So I thought upgrading to 2.6.1 would fix it. So, this is a fresh install, installed 10 minutes ago, no third party plugins or anything.

    I’ve never seen anything like this.

    It’s hosted with MediaTemple, if that helps.

    I’m having the exact same issue with a new install I did this morning. No plugins installed when I first saw it but I have since installed Assets, Matrix, Low Variables etc. I can sometimes get the page to display correctly by refreshing but I am usually forced to use the back button to see the CP again.

    My project is also hosted on Media Temple.

    Are you on cluster 07?

    That’s where we were (we shut down the account and set up the (dv) instead because they said that there were no issues with cluster 07 and that it was basically our imagination).

    What the what? I am on cluster 7. What the heck is going on here? I probably have 15 sites running on MT servers without an issue. Can anyone shed some light on how these messages are generated and what could possibly cause this error?

    These seem like they are generated to appear in the pop up notifications bar at the top of the site but for some reason they are opening the message as a page instead of using the info to generate a notification right?

    I’m actually getting this too on a MediaTemple server (although what would that have to do with it?) Likewise, new install. Seems like some piece of Javascript is missing. Haven’t dug into it much yet.

    Experiencing the same issue here— using MediaTemple’s grid service. I also have other EE sites successfully running on MT without this issue, but not with this version (2.6.1).

    I had created a thread and posted some screenshots of this issue here:

    Hi there! I’m very sorry to hear you are all seeing this same problem on our service. Without looking deeper into this error, I can not confirm whether the issue is specific to our service or related to the version of EE.

    A great place to take questions like these are over on the (mt) Media Temple forums. We have a lot of people there familiar with our product and third party applications. You should be able to find an answer there: https://forums.mediatemple.net/

    PHP was running on version 5.3.27 (FastCGI). We changed it to 5.3.27 CGI (stable) and the problem has gone away.

    Disabling FastCGI in MediaTemple’s AccountCenter fixed the issue for me too. I never would have thought to look there.

    Thanks!

    MediaTemple mentions EE in a warning specifically here it here:

    Just had the same issue on MT Grid-Service with EE 2.6.1. Thanks for the fix!

    We’re also on MT’s gridservice and were seeing that issue with our EE 2.4.0 website. Changing from the fastcgi option seems to have also fixed our issues as well. Thanks for the fix!
