    Hi all,

This morning I’ve walked into the office to find the following error when I log in to my EE2.5.5 CP.

    A PHP Error was encountered

    Severity: Warning

Message: date_default_timezone_get(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected the timezone 'UTC' for now, but please set date.timezone to select your timezone.

    Filename: libraries/Core.php

    Line Number: 278

This might be unrelated however Plesk automatically upgraded over the weekend. I’ve since amended Plesk so that the PHPinfo is now showing UTC as the default time zone. It now reads: Default timezone UTC.

I’ve also edited my htaccess to add: php_value date.timezone ‘Europe/London’ and restarted Plesk and apache and still nothing. The error is still there, has anyone got any advice?

    Thanks!

    David.

php.ini was the solution, cheers for that PravinS. For those looking into this in the future,  I added the value through plesk:

    date.timezone ‘Europe/London’

    Thanks

    David
