Hi, I wonder if anyone could shed any light on some errors occurring in one of our Expressionengine 2.5.5 websites..

We’re getting a lot of errors like the below in our apache logs:

access(“ourserverpath/system/expressionengine/third_party/assets/libraries/api/Api_channel_fields.php”, F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)

When we get these errors the site starts to use up all of the server resource up until we restart apache which then runs fine for a while until the errors start again.

    Has anyone ever experienced this?

The site isn’t doing anything fancy, but we have added some custom coding to allow for a feed to be processed at midnight, but these errors happen throughout the day..

    Thanks!

Can we get a response to this from Ellislabs? it’s becoming one of (a few, but key) things that are pushing us away from using EE2.  This issue needs to be resolved.  In my case, this is a small sample of the log for me:

access("/path/to/expressionengine/libraries/EE_File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/modules/channel/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/third_party/ce_cache/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/third_party/low_seg2cat/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    access("/path/to/expressionengine/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = 0
access("/path/to/expressionengine/libraries/EE_File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/modules/channel/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/third_party/ce_cache/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/third_party/low_seg2cat/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    access("/path/to/expressionengine/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = 0
access("/path/to/expressionengine/libraries/EE_File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/modules/channel/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/third_party/ce_cache/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/third_party/low_seg2cat/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    access("/path/to/expressionengine/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = 0
access("/path/to/expressionengine/libraries/EE_File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/modules/channel/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/third_party/ce_cache/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access("/path/to/expressionengine/third_party/low_seg2cat/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    access("/path/to/expressionengine/libraries/File_field.php", F_OK) = 0

Note that though it searches two third party directories, it’s the native library that it’s looking for…. finally finds it but looks like you guys are looking for the EE_ version of it first… please fix this, or tell me what part of what file I need to edit to fix it.

Does anyone know if this was addressed in any of the updates through 2.9.0 (current as of posting date)? I have a site on 2.5.3 that is having trouble with the exact same issue and I’m planning an update for Monday, but would love to have some confidence leading into this that it’ll actually address it.

I noticed nobody replied from EllisLab and know this is an old topic, but I’m hoping someone has an update or some information surrounding this issue.

    Thanks!
    -Josh
