Hi
We have channel that we allow guests to post to via Safecracker - all works fine. However it would appear that every so often the permissions to post to the channel get reset to “NO” via the CMS, though we have not been anywhere near these options in the admin panel.
It looks like a wee bug in EE and I was wondering if anyone else had ever experienced this and if so - are there any fixes please?

EE 2.5.3 has a known bug that changes member group permissions when a different group’s permissions are changed. For instance, if you change permissions for the group “Admin”, then the permissions in group “Member” will be changed. Nasty little bugger.
Using 2.5.3, or other version that may have this bug?

Yes that is the exact version of EE that we are running (on a lot of sites). Do you know if there is a patch for this, as I’m reluctant to upgrade the whole EE version at this point in the project?

Supposedly EE 2.5.4 clears this bug up. Or so says the Changelog.
