I just did a clean install of EE 2.6.1 and find that the control panel isn’t working correctly. When I try to save settings it just refreshes the screen with nothing changed. For example if I open Admin -> General Configuration, change the Site Name and click Submit, the page will refresh (as if it is saving), but still shows the past Site Name. The same thing happens if I try to create a channel, field, etc, etc..

This happened with another site on the same server last week, and I did this fresh empty install to see if it was site specific, but seems that it might be a server setting that is causing this? An install on my other server (media temple) works totally fine.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this sporadic behaviour? Could it be cache, cookie or session settings on the server?

It’s a difficult problem to describe, I’d love it if someone could login to see what I was talking about and possibly diagnose. I’m getting desperate and my client is getting impatient.

Anyone at all? Do EE staff monitor these forums at all? One of the reason I originally started using EE was for the support, which I was happy to pay the license fee for, like any software, but now that it’s gone to a separate paid support system (ridiculous), I can’t seem to get any help. Community support is great, but every so often (like twice a year) you need actual support.
