I’m trying to track down a bug in our EE installation, and I thought I would start by checking that the installation was set up with the correct permissions. However I cannot find anywhere in the documentation that explains what these should be.
There is a clear statement about what is needed in a couple of locations (the “666 and 777” discussion on this page - http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/installation/installation.html) but I can nothing about what the rest of the installation files / directories should be set to.
Installation is on a standard Debian Linux VPS.
I’m sure it is simple / trivial, so hopefully someone can fill me in on the details.
