We have tried numerous times to upgrade from EE1x to EE2x with no success. We purchased the license for EE2 but have been unable to use it.
What I would like to know is how do I export the list of members with their passwords from our database. I recall a script I have used before bu I don’t remember what it is now.

It sounds like what you need is CSVGrab, I’m going from memory here. You might want to go look over on Devotee.
