I was wondering if statuses are case-sensitive (seems like I have issues if they aren’t case-sensitive), also is there a way to change defaults statuses (Open/Closed) to be lowercase? Ideally I would have the display name of my Statuses be Capitalized but the value of the status would be lowercase. So that in my code I could have status=“not new” versus status=“not New” but in my Safecracker form display has “New”.

    Hi Phil,

Statuses are not case-sensitive. I don’t recommend touching the default Open/Closed in the core files as it will eventually overwrite your changes when you upgrade EE. If you are just looking to control this when you display it on the screen in the UI I recommend using PHP or you can use the following plug-in to give you that option via EE tag:

    Cheers,
