I have a datepicker field in a contact page Safecracker form.  But the client only wants the date to display (2012-11-21), not the time also (2012-11-21 1:05 PM). In my research in these forums, it appears that’s the only way it can be displayed.  Or has anyone found an alternative?

One post mentioned DropDate, which lets you just select a date.  But I have read the docs and am unclear how it gets integrated into a Safecracker form. Any advice would be very appreciated.  Thanks!

Since EE requires the entire time stamp, I found that I had to use the EEvent Helper add-on to accomplish this task. I also decided to cut off the datepicker in Safecracker and use my own library with some custom options (blocking out dates, etc), but that’s not absolutely necessary.

In any event, that add-on allowed me to do quite a few things the standard date field would not, because like you I was looking to display only the year, month, and day and not the time. This add-on made that very straightforward and it’s worked great in my Safecracker fields.

I did come across that add-on a while ago, but based on your suggestion, I took another look at it.  And voila, it works the way we want it in the SC form now… many thanks for that input!
