Same variable name within two tags

As a newbie..
Using freeform to have some forms for a channel.
Both channel:entries and freeform:count are using the variable count.
How can I get hold of both?
```
{exp:channel:entries channel='events'}
    {exp:freeform:count collection="{eventcollection}"}
       <h1>  {count} From channel:entries  </h1>
    {/exp:freeform:count}
{/exp:channel:entries }
```
