    Hi,

I’m building a site in EE and adding multiple languages following the directions in this article:

    http://expressionengine.com/wiki/Multi_language_site_alternative

I’ve got the appropriate language loading in the corresponding site but the alternative language index.php files are not finding the site’s stylesheet. So I wind up with all of the copy in the correct language but no layout to speak of.

Here is the code that calls my stylesheet:

    <link type='text/css' rel='stylesheet' href="{stylesheet='site/stylesheet'}" media='screen' />

I need to get the alternative language sites seeing the stylesheet.

    I appreciate any help.

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

I need to get the alternative language sites seeing the stylesheet.

The easiest way is to take your stylesheet out of ExpressionEngine and place it back into a static file. That way you can link to it the old-fashioned way.

Given that the multi-lungual setup in the Wiki is not a supported solution, that’s the best way to solve the problem.

Let me know if you have any questions!

    Cheers,

Thanks Dan! I didn’t realize that that multi-lingual setup is not a supported solution. Is there a better solution that is supported?

    Hi Michael,

Would it be ok if I login for a look?

Keep an eye out for an email from EllisLab!

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,

Not that I mind you looking around in the site but I got the different language sites seeing the stylesheet and they seem to be working pretty smoothly. I don’t want to waste your time.

If I run into any other trouble I’ll be sure to come crying.

Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving.
