I want to connect to a MSSQL server. Meaning that MSSQL will be a secondary choice. I will only connect to it when user/guest registers as a higher privilege user.

Just to clarify, you want to use 2 databases to store info for one EE install? Kindly clarify.

ExpressionEngine only supports MySQL.
