    Hi,
    I just bought EE 2.5 to build my first website under EE.
    I’m following the quick start quide of Ryan Irelan that is very helpful to get a understanding about the CMS.

    I created 4 type of channels. Then, following the book, I created 4 new member groups :
    * News writters
    * Editors
    * Letters Writters
    * Obits Writters
    For all these groups I did the permission settings.

    One group of permission show an issue : ‘Channel Assignment’.
    This is where admin decides if user can post and edit entries in: ‘channel_name’.

    In ‘Channel Assignment’ I set the permission to ‘yes’ for the group ‘News Writters’ and closed.
    Then I set the permission to ‘yes’ for the group ‘Editors’ and closed.
    When I re-openend the setting for the previous group (News Wirtters), the settings of ‘Channel Assignment’ were all back to ‘No’.

    I did the settings several time, also for other member groups, also for EE member groups like ‘Members’. The same happens always.

    Can somebody tell me what I do wrong or if I need to do some extra setting?
