    Hi,

I’m pulling my hair out working with the standard RTE-editor.
There is no way I can ‘sell’ this to my client it generates one big mess ... :-(

Which editor generates clean code and can be used safely for clients with zero html knowledge?
So a simple interface, straight forward and so on.

    Thanks!

It’s top-notch, in my opinion. My favorite feature is two-fold - the ability to create toolbars for each member group and the ability to assign the toolbar differently from one field usage to the next.  The HTML entity outlines in the editor and the customization of each toolbar is just icing on the cake.  You can easily build an entire set of toolbars that keep the client out of trouble while giving them what they need, and having the editor generate very clean and simple code.

I’ve been playing around with a bit and the blocks (dotted lines) work very well.
Is there a way to add html5 tags like figure and figcaption (I asked in the wyern support forum already but just in case you have done that before)

    Thanks for the tip

Other than by viewing source and doing it that way (which I’m sure is out of the question based on your original question), no, not that I have heard of.

I had a look and in wysiwyg.js you can add elements like figure.
    But ...
It doesn’t work very well so I might have to fall back to a div and possibly some classes.
