    In a MSM setup with 5 sites, I can log in fine through the “main” (first) site, where the system folder is located. From there, I can administer, publish… to all 5 sites without a problem.

    But I cannot login through the admin.php on any other site, nor with a login form on the page itself (with the login form, the message says “you are logged in now”, but after the redirect, I am not).

    I read in other threads to try and clear the cookie settings, but cannot do that. When I edit anything on the Cookie Settings page and save it, I get the green “success”-massage, but the form fields revert back to the old content. Checked file permissions, everything as it should be according to the docs.

    I tried clearing the caches, did not make any difference.

    What else can I do?

    Hi chronistin,

    Sorry that you are having trouble with MSM logins!

    The experience you describe leads me to believe that you have some ExpressionEngine Cookie options coded into your config file.

    To check, open /system/expressionengine/config/config.php and look for

    $config['cookie_domain'] = 'domian.com';
    $config['cookie_prefix'] = '';
    $config['cookie_path'] = '';

    With any of those in config.php, they will override anything you set in the Control Panel.

    In general, it’s best to let ExpressionEngine handle the cookie values by leaving everything blank, unless that simply isn’t working.

    Cheers,
