Is the Auto log-in on future visits for Chrome browser only?

Take a look at my attached screen grab. On the right is Safari. After deleting cache and all cookies. On the left is Chrome. Doesn’t show in Firefox either.

Ideas how to display across all browsers?

    Hello Hendrik-Jan Francke,

    Thank you for your question.

I am unable to reproduce this. I change the Control Panel to cookies only so that auto-login option is set and then I see the check box in Safari, FF and Chrome.

What version of ExpressionEngine are you currently running?

    Thank you,

    EE 2.5.3

We have tried 4 different browsers across 5 different computers. For all but one iMac/Chrome, Auto log-in on future visits does not show. The iMac/Chrome I see it is the iMac/Chrome that was used to change the settings.

Do you see it when you visit this URL

    Hello Hendrik-Jan Francke,

With the link you provided I do not see a checkbox in any browser that I test with.

What do you have your Control Panel set for in way of sessions or cookies?

    Thank you,

I had User Session Type set to Cookies Only and Control Panel Session Type set to Cookies and Session ID. Opps! I guess I didn’t process the two different types when I set it the first time.

So now I see Auto log-in on future visits in all the browsers.

Does beg the question why did it show in Chrome on my mac? I had deleted all the related cookies. Leave it to you if you want to dig further into that issue. Happy to help.

    Hey Hendrik-Jan Francke,

Gotacha. Glad that is worked out now.

I am not sure, could just be some browser funkiness. When I tested on my end, it did not show up at all until Cookies were enabled.

If you need anything else, please just let me know by opening a new thread.

    Cheers,
