    Hey Everyone,

I just downloaded the fantastic ee-Hive Flickr extension in hopes of using Flickr as an image repository to streamline my server load. Is this a common practice and am I moving in the right direction as far as reducing the overall load on the server?

Do you guys have any better suggestions?

Thanks in advance, and I certainly look to contribute here soon.

    Hi Scott,

    Thanks for your questions!

The ultimate answer to that is up to your expectations. Most modern hosts should be able to handle the load of images without any trouble and would save you a layer of complexity.

If you really want to get performance minded, you can look into a content delivery network like Amazon S3 or Akamai.

For now, I’m going to move this over into Community Help to keep the discussion up.

Thanks and don’t be a stranger!

    Cheers,
