When adding items to a channel, users with Internet Explorer 9 see nothing when clicking on Add.

    EE 1.7.3

I’ve had to use this navigation type in the CP. Hover and None resulted in other errors and were not ‘idiot proof’.

    Thanks!

EDIT: Whoops, wrong place, should be filed under EE 1 😖

    EDIT2: I’ve tried to force the height of “publishdropmenuinner”, with min-height:20px;

That does work, but shows an empty <li>

EDIT 3: Checking the DOM in IE with developer tools shows no content in the <li>, in the source there is, so it night be a js glitch?

    Hi noregt,

In IE 9, on a default install of 1.7.3, I wasn’t able to reproduce.

We need to determine the difference. Are you using a language pack? What changes have you made to this Control Panel, if any?

When I hover or click on my “Publish” tab, I am able to see the Weblog list.

I look forward to your reply!

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,

Just to be sure, I’ve made a complete new install of EE 1.7.3 on the same server, with the same effect.

The difference with your setting is, the CP ‘Publish Tab Behavior’ is set on ‘Click’ not on ‘Hover’. The new installation shows the same error.

Indeed! I confirmed and filed the bug report.

Is there anything else I can assist you with?

Thanks Dan, is there anything I can do with the CSS to clear this up, so people are not forced to first download Chrome or Firefox? (the other tab behavior results in more complex behavior bugs. With hover or none and access to just one channel, people click on publish and get the channel without working extensions / modules like channel images)

    Hi noregt,

I’m not sure about a fix to the theme’s CSS, but let’s examine the other bugs for a second. If you set the publish tab behavior to “none” and just click it, what kinds of trouble are you running into there?
