I have been looking for years for an easy to use CMS.

First I have a Hosting area with multiple domains for children entertainers, American Legion Post, Magic clubs, and Magicians and other friends.

All of these persons know “next to nothing” about web sites, so I make simple CSS/Html 5 websites for them. There is no way they can upload pictures, or change content. I have to do it manually. They email the pictures and content.

In addition, I wrote an old CGI program that allows for a six page website. Very crude design by today’s standards. (Form driven)

The requested changes, and editing is consuming my days.

I want them to select a template, edit their page and place pictures on their page. Add a page if necessary.

I have VIVVO, but this is to complex for them to use and does not serve well for what I want to do. It’s more of a “Newspaper” website.

Can I place EE in my root hosting directory, redo the domain websites using Modified EE Templates and a way for the user to edit their own pages, and change pictures? All these domains are in my name, with multiple websites that are my personal domains.

I offer free “subdirectory” websites ie. (Mydomain.com/user/magicalclown/index.html) for a clown magician.

    Also other domains like MagicalBirthdayParty.com, DaycareMagic.com, SchoolAssembly.com, theMagicLibrarian.com, KIDsMagic.org, AtcoPost311.com, etc.
See: http://www.kidabra.org/freewebsite.htm for free websites too.

I am looking for an EZ Web Page Creator and Content editor.

    Can EE help

    Hi Dennis,

Thank you for the detailed question and for your interest in ExpressionEngine!

    Welcome to the Forums.

The short answer is yes, ExpressionEngine and Multiple Site Manager could handle that really well!

There are a number of ways EE can be used. The benefits would include sharing member accounts, e-commerce, content and administration across all sites. Each site can have it’s own set of permissions, all managed in one ExpressionEngine Control Panel.

Check out the Getting Started video for some insight in to how ExpressionEngine works.

Let me know if you have any questions!

    Thanks!
