    Hi,

I just updated EE and the Discussion Forum Module to the latest versions/builds from older version. I believe EE was from 3.1.1 to 3.5.3, Discussion Forums I don’t really know, but it must have been something like 3.1.3 to 3.1.9.

Basically everything works well but the Member pages. I have customized the Forums and all “regular” pages seem to be working properly and looking as desired. However when I enter the “Member” section eg. “/forum/member/1/” the design is completely lost, the data is itself is there and correct.

Now, when I go and try to enter includes (eg. {include:html_header}) like in all other templates they are not being parsed at all.

I can copy and paste the appropriate code instead and get the results I want. I am just curious of what I might have missed (read throug the special update instructions but couldn’t find anything) and if there is a better way to get my design back instead of hardcoding it all.

    Thanks and Cheers! Marc

    Hi, Marc,

Unfortunately you are running into a bug at the moment, and I do not have a solution for you other than what you recommended.  You could copy your theme temporarily and hard-code it, then use your other theme once the bug is fixed - I know that is not ideal, and could potentially be a lot of work for a temporary fix.  Unfortunately I do not have another fix at the moment.

    Bummer.

Well, ok. I really don’t want to go down the hardcoding road. Can you (or somebody) give an estimate when this will be fixed? Could I possibly downgrade to 2.5.2?  Would that be a solution?

    Thanks and Cheers! Marc

I’m afraid we don’t have an ETA on when that bug will be fixed. Do you have a backup from EE 2.5.2? If you do, yes, I’d recommend restoring that backup so that you’ve got a working EE 2.5.2 installation.

    Unfortunately I don’t have a 2.5.2 update since I made a big jump from what I believe was 3.1.1…

It’s a non-profit, non-paying sportsclub supporter site which explains why I don’t put too much effort (aka frequent updates) into it, which I know is bad, but oh well.

I guess I’ll just keep the guys running that site informed and keep my fingers crossed that it will be fixed rather sooner than later. They only have 60 members or something like this, not hundreds.
