I have downloaded Buildwithstructure, and am not having much luck with it.  I am new to Expression Engine, and have started to get my head wrapped around the whole template URL structure.  Buildwithstructure has given me some nasty database errors, and I am having a hard time understanding.  It seems comments on Devot-ee about buildwithstructure have showed some problems that others have experienced also.

Now I am trying to decide whether to keep trying to work through issues with buildwithstructure , or look more into the taxonomy add-on.  Has anyone else used both and could provide some input.  From reading up, it seems taxonomy might be a better choice for navigation menu purposes for it seems it doesn’t completely take over EE per say.

    Thanks greatly in advance

    Hi boomer42025,

Thanks for posting on the Forums!

Indeed, using Structure changes everything about the way ExpressionEngine works.

My suggestion would be to get to know EE on its own. That way you will have a better understanding of the changes add-ons make to the way it works.

Here are a few links that can get you on the right track:

Get comfy with the nuts and bolts of EE, then go crazy!
