    Hi!

    After upgrading to the latest version (2.5.3). Some images doesn’t show anymore. And based upon my findings, it is the images with space on their filenames dosent show properly on the browser. I wonder if this is a known issue. And of course, on how can I fix this.

    example file: sample with space.jpg
    ee formating as: sample+with+space.jpg
    ee should format it as: sampe with space.jpg

    best regards

    Hi James,

    Thanks for posting your question and I’m sorry for your trouble!

    After updating to ExpressionEngine 2.5.3, did you make sure to Sync your Upload Destinations using the File Manager?

    Content-> Files-> File Manager: Upload Destinations - there you will see a Sync action listed for each Upload Destination. Sync those up and let me know if you are still having trouble.

    Cheers!

    I did that already but it didn’t help. As you can see my example from my previous post. EE is not formatting the images with space properly. Sorry for my example btw it should be, EE should format it as: sample with space.jpg

    With the current version right now. EE is parsing the image in a URL something like

    <a href="http://www.mysite.com/img/sample+with+space.jpg">http://www.mysite.com/img/sample+with+space.jpg</a>
    whereas the browser cannot render. It should be
    <a href="http://www.mysite.com/img/sample">http://www.mysite.com/img/sample</a> with space.jpg

    space == percent20
    space != +

    Any news on this issue as I’ve encountered it too when uploading a load of files from the client’s previous website via FTP?

    Thanks

    Hi jstewart,

    James wasn’t able to allow us to take a look and they worked around it by renaming the images to not have spaces. That means that we really don’t have an answer specifically, but I’ll offer you the same request. Be on the lookout for an email from EllisLab!

    Cheers,

    Hi John,

    You should see that email come through before long, but in the meantime I discovered that we are aware of the bug and have a report filed.

    I won’t be able to provide you with a solution per se, but I encourage you to comment on that report to be notified of progress.

    Sorry you’ve been hit with this bug!

    Cheers,
