i’m moving my site to a new server, so i copied everything on my current site onto a local computer. i can edit templates but when i try to edit channel entries, it reloads the page with the edits, but doesn’t actually edit the entry. if i go to “edit entries’ and find that same entry, the changes would have reverted.
expression engine is able to make other edits to the local database, like add new channel fields.
what could be causing this error?

Welcome to the forums! I’m not 100% sure what’s causing this, but I’ll do my best to help here. When the edit page reloads, do you see any error messages? If you look in all the tabs on the edit page, do you see any messages reminding you to fill in a required field? Are you able to publish new entries?
