Moving EE to new host - admin kind of wonky

I just moved our website from one web host to another. I have run into an issue that has me stumped…

In the Admin area none of the top links work. I click it and nothing happens. I can go in to “Inspect Element” in Chrome and click on links in the source code to get to the different areas.

Another issue is that in the Template Manager screen - only the left list of template groups shows up. The right side where it lists the templates does not show up.

One problem I had is the old server is slow and craps out a lot. I have spent my entire day tracking down missing files. I’m guessing the culprit is some missing CSS or JS or setting or ???

I can’t seem to see where any JS or CSS is missing. I have gone through and checked everything I could think of in themes/templates/views - everywhere else too - I have run out of things to check/try!

I didn’t build the site so I don’t have a copy of 5.2 - I could download 5.3 and upload those files but not sure if that will screw other stuff up.

Any help or hings would be great!

I agree with what TJ recommended in the other thread, this would be a good time to upload all the EE files again just to be sure they’re all there. You should be able to download them again from your account. It’s also not a bad idea to go ahead and use this as an opportunity to update to 2.5.3, so go ahead and do that while you’re at it. We’ll be here to help if you run into any trouble!

after many many hours i sorted it out.

i had a trailing backslash after “/home/mysite/themes/” in my General Configuration - path to theme folder. in all of my other EE websites on my new web host this is ok. It was also ok on this exact site on a different web host. i removed the backslash “/home/mysite/themes” and now it works fine.
