Must be something simple but it has been awhile since I used an old 1.7 version and I cannot trace why any changes to the templates aren’t executed. Save template to files are on, permissions are correct and even in the cp the correctly changed template appears, but simply not on the site. The db is obviously not being changed but where to check the correct settings for that? I checked the config files which all seem to be correct (this is on a local box running MAMP)
Any suggestions?

Hi Nutmeg,
From your description, it sounds like everything is working correctly except that EE isn’t actually rendering the template’s contents according to the file, right? I’m running MAMP as well, and it’s working perfectly for me. Could you turn on template debugging, load the template in your browser again, and let me know what you see in the template debugging output below Template Found? Also, are you sure you have templates as files turned on?
