Is there any way to share custom channel fields between multiple sites?

Are you talking about MSM or just in general? In MSM you can share or duplicate channels across sites and share the channel fields.

I was indeed referring to MSM. Is there a way to actually use one set of channels or more specifically one set of custom channels fields across all sites.

We have nine sites, each is effectively its own language but are using the same set of templates that require custom fields. We’ve hit the MySQL limit by simply duplicating these for each site. Is there a way to share them?

Hi, Dom -

It is not possible to share custom fields across Sites at this time.  How many custom fields have you actually created at this point?  There are some multi-language solutions on Devot-ee that may be a better approach here.
