I’m using Membbr to register members on my site. Is there anyway to have EE send an email 72 hours after the member has registered?

There is a 1st party addon that can help http://expressionengine.com/downloads/details/expressionengine_cron/
Otherwise Automat:ee is useful http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/automatee
Alternatively you can write your own script and run the cron job through the server.
