    Hello!

I’ve been wanting to consolidate a few sites that are currently on Expression Engine for a client that could really benefit from being able to manage all of the sites from one control panel, as they are basically the same website duplicated for different regions.  Each region has its own membership base, though - so how would that work in the control panel, when I click on View Members, will I be able to filter by domain/subdomain in some way, to be able to see just view or export members for a specific site within the MSM?

    Thanks in advance,
    Karen

    Hi, Karen -

Membership in any EE installation is installation-wide, not per site.  That is one of the major caveats with the MSM.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

That really is a shame - everything else sounds so PERFECT 😊  Is there any way around this… for example, could each separate site have its own member group that the users would be assigned to after the registration process, so we could ‘sort’ that way?

Hi, padstow - yes.  You can also set a group to show in the member list per group and per site.

But ultimately, there is no site_id attached to a member account, so you’d be creating that association yourself.

    Make sense?
