    Hi guys and girls,

I have just installed two separate installations of EE2 on my server in different folders, one with MSM and one without. They were both working fine and now I can’t log in to the control panel of either site. If I login with the correct login it just takes me back to the login page with no error message.

The site with MSM was already acting strangely as it would not let me view the second site that I created and always redirected me to the first site.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
    Gabe

    Hi Gabe,

I think we can help nip this one quickly, and it’d be quickest if we got a first-hand look. Be on the lookout for an email from me!

This site is still not working. I have reset the password but I can’t sign in.

    Hi, Gabba,

Can you go to Admin> Security and Sessions > Cookies and make sure that you have a cookie prefix for both installations, that is different.  You’ll see it says:

    Cookie Prefix
Use only if you are running multiple installations of this program

and that is most likely to resolve this for you.

You may need to clear your cookies the first time you try to login each site both to make this change, and after making it.

    Thanks!
