A client informed me today that people can’t comment on blog entries anymore. Reason is a captcha image showing constantly “shopwiki.com”. If someone types this in an error message will appear that the word was mistyped etc. This captcha image seems to be stuck and won’t refresh/change. I checked other sites running with EE and a similar setup. No problems there. The site with the issue runs on EE 2.2.1 and EngineHosting.

I had something similar happen when my host moved the site and I had forgot to update the file paths for captcha images. You can check this in Admin > Security and Privacy > CAPTCHA preferences.

Thanks Patrick. Your post reminded me that there was a change a while ago that affected the file paths. Some paths have still been pointing to a development URL/domain that expired recently. I corrected it and it’s all good now.

    Hey Rodscha,

Patrick is right! That is more than likely the answer. Can you check your path?

    Thank you,
