I’m trying to create a training/certification area where the user must complete watching a video before proceeding to the next page.  Can you direct me the best way to do this within EE? If the user tries to quit out, I’m figuring some type of JS window will pop open warning them they need to finish the video.  But I’m not sure how to approach this or tie this all together in EE.  Thanks!

    Hey eclectiv,

I am going to move this over to the Community Help Forum to see if there is anyone there who may have some ideas.

I am really not sure how you would approach this.

    Cheers,

I always get nervous when things are “required” in a disconnected browser environment. Were it me I’d make sure the video had critical information in it, or was just plain fun enough to watch, that users wanted to see it.  Maybe put a link to where they can get money. Or something. 😉

This video would be in a password protected area.  It is to ensure that all applicants view all videos before reaching the final application page.

What if the video loads and they fast forward it?

What if they load the video, let it play and leave the room?

There is no system-based way to ensure they actually sit there and watch the video.

    Hi eclectiv,

Difficult one.  You might want to consider working something around an end event trigger:
