Comments not working for entries published by a member group

    We have a site where any entries being published by a specific member group (‘editor’), have “Commenting is not available in this channel entry.” showing instead of the Comments Form.

    If we publish an entry as a super admin, the comments form shows up fine.

    We’ve checked every preference we can think of relating to that member group and checked that none of their entries have comments disabled in the publish entry page. Everything seems fine but still no comments form showing up.

    Further, because super admin entries are working, we tried changing the author to a super admin for an entry originally posted by that member group and it still doesn’t work which makes us think this isn’t an issue specific to just the member group?

    Absolutely at our wits end trying to figure out why they’re not showing up… please, help.

    Solved. They were setting the comment expiration date to a time right after the post.
