How good is the default CAPTCHA?

I’m hopefully about a week out from going live with my first EE website. It will require member registration, and of course commenting and other user-content features are enabled as well.

Before taking this thing live, I need to know, how good are the built-in spam-prevention tools, including the stock CAPTCHA? If I require CAPTCHA for registration and non-logged-in form submissions, should the site stay spam-free or am I asking for trouble?

Also, if the stock CAPTCHA isn’t good enough, what are some “zero spam” add-ons to use to replace it?

    Thanks,

    Matthew

    Hi Matthew,

Look at Snaptcha. This is an invisible Captcha which works great for zero spam.
