Posting Codeigniter as my tools for creating websites

    HI all,

    Is it okay to acknowledge codeigniter in my website saying that im preferring the framework in creating websites because it is fast, reliable and safe. i am worrying if i break terms of agreement of codeigniter. im doing business in creating website.

    yes. im worried if i could break the terms. im just not sure if codeigniter have terms to not allow everyone to post the framework in their site to gain customer. thanks for your reply.

    Looking over the TOS since you are free to “use, copy, modify, and distribute the Software and its documentation” “for any purpose”  I do not think you would have any problems if you publicly state you use CI as your framework of choice. Infact I would think the developers would perfer it since it helps their framework gain further visability in the world.

    This is my own interpretation of the licensing of CI so of course I could be wrong especially since I am new to CI lol 😊

    For that purpose, yes, it’s perfectly fine to acknowledge CodeIgniter is at the core of your website. You’re just not allowed to call your application CodeIgniter, or use it in any part of the name.
