Hello,

Is it standard practice for the EE simple search to remove small, even 1 letter words from search termS? e.g. If I search for ‘stories in blogs’ the search returns ‘stories blogs’. Normally this would be fine but I am using the Tag module search results which returns the exact phrase used in a tag. This means if I have tagged a post with ‘stories in blogs’ I get no results in my tag search listings. So my question is… Although I can see why EE removes the small words from a search is there a way I could disable this so my tag search will work too?

You can open /system/expressionengine/modules/search/mod.search.php and change the value of:

var $min_length = 3;
