Man, this is driving me nuts. So I’ve had an EE 2.5.1 installation live that I’ve been working on for 6 months and all the sudden yesterday morning, I can’t save template text files to the server. I sifted through the fora here and considered all the usual suspects:
Set all permissions in ‘templates’ and subfolders to 777
Set PHP safe mode to ‘off’
Verified the server path
Checked that there’s sufficient hard disk space on the server
And still nothing. Weird thing is that it worked before and now it didn’t—that’s the crazy part. I even exported the db and set up the whole thing on my local machine to see if it was a remote web server thing but I’m still getting the same message, which leads me to believe it’s an EE software / system thing.
