Hi - I’m putting together an MSM subsite (site B) of a main site (site A), and have a safecracker form where users can post info. This is working fine on the new site except that the matrix field and P&T switch fields aren’t populated with any data on the edit screen. all other fields are populated fine - I’ve talked to Brandon about this in this forum and he’s under the impression that it’s a safecracker issue.

OK. My guess is that it’s a SafeCracker issue. P&T Switch is a relatively simple fieldtype. If it’s getting initialized properly, except for the fact that it doesn’t remember the original value, than that means that SafeCracker just isn’t passing its old data to it when it calls its display_field() function.

Has anyone else reported this as an issue/bug? Anything I can do to get it working?

I would love to get you some help on this, but I need some more dirt, so to speak.

I’ve seen Field Pack fieldtypes and Matrix used with SafeCracker before, so we should be able to get it sorted out.

However, can you tell me the version numbers of what you are using? ExpressionEngine, Matrix, etc?

And, your SafeCracker template code so we can troubleshoot it.

Everything’s bang up to date (as of posting!) - EE v2.5.2, Matrix is v2.4.1 and Switch is 1.0.4

I also have a new problem with a safecracker file field! Because this is an MSM site I don’t think that the siteB field knows where to look for the images - I get this error:

“The selected Upload Directory for a SafeCracker File field no longer exists.”

Do I have to set a site=”” parameter for any fields?

The safecracker code is pretty lengthy, I’m going to edit it to just the pertinent bits:

No, this is a different site that I’m pulling some data across to from the original site fo a shared section, it has different channels & fields

Is there a pro-support forum? I seem to remember something about a paid-for quick response service… I need to get this working and with one response a day at best we’re not going to have this fixed until July.. 😊
