I have followed all the instructions on http://expressionengine.com/wiki/Move_from_Development_to_Production_on_EE_2
but the images are not showing. You can view the website at http://shopbusiness.co.uk
your suggestions for a solution would be most appreciated. I am using EE2.4

Your paths are incorrect. You have:
http://shopbusiness.co.uk/index.php/images/uploads/products/_sidebar/IMG_0901.jpg
when this works instead:
http://shopbusiness.co.uk/images/uploads/products/IMG_0901.jpg

Sorry for your trouble! The process for Moving ExpressionEngine to Another Server is officially documented in the User Guide now!
As Stephen notes, make sure your paths are file paths, not URLs - there is a distinct difference.
