    Hi,

I’m attempting to update templates in an EE 1.7.2 site. Upon clicking the ‘Update’ button I get this error:

    406 Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /mysystem/index.php could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any ideas why this might be happening and how I can fix it?

    Many thanks,

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

After looking around a bit, 2 factors play into that error. The data the browser expects, and the data the server offers to send.

In general, browsers will accept most anything the server sends, so something is up wither with your browser or server.

Have you contacted your hosting provider? They may be able to offer some assistance. What browser and OS were you using when the error started?

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,

Many thanks for your response. As you indicated, it was a server issue (mod_security) which the hosting provider has helped fix.

    Thanks again,

    Andy
