Hi,

is it somehow possible to make author notification of a new comment otional? I know there is the setting “Notify the author of an entry whenever a comment is submitted?” in the channel preferences. But then it’s changed for all authors.

Is there way to turn this off/on in the member settings via safecracker?

Or even better in the safecracker publish form per entry? So an author could decide for each of his entries if he will be notified or not.

You are right, for now it is an all or nothing notification. Since comment notifications are handled by the subscription system of Membership, there isn’t a means to set that with SafeCracker.

This sounds like a chance to make a Feature Request! Or, of you are up to it, an extension that could set this when an entry is submitted via SafeCracker would be pretty cool.
