Not exactly sure how a coworker managed to have this happen but he has done it twice now, however it’s not frequent (a few months apart). Anyway on to the issue: The published date on the front-end displays as something like Dec. 5, 1969, even though the entry was just published. I go into the cp to check it out and the Date column on the entries listing page reads ‘0’. When I go into the entry the date is set correctly (e.g. 2012-06-05 08:54 AM) and a simple Save Revision fixes the date everywhere. I’m curious if there have been similar issues reported, and what might be going on.

    EE v2.4.0 - Build: date 20120123

    P.S.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unix_time
The Unix epoch is the time 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1970 (or 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z ISO 8601)
so usually if the time is 0 or null you will see Dec 31, 1969

    Hi blg002,

Thanks for posting to the forums!

Is that the correct date for “today” or the date the entry was entered?

The date/time are ultimately controlled by server and set with PHP, so you might look into the server logs to see if there have been dropouts.

It is odd that it seems to be only the one member that experiences this though.

    Cheers,

Yeah, he’s really the only one who uses it though.

    I’ll check that out

    Hi blg002,

Have you found out anything after looking into your server logs?

Sorry no, I got tied up with other things. How exactly would I look at the server logs? We are hosted with EngineHosting.

    Hi blg002,

You’ll need to contact EH about how to access the logs. You might even be able to ask them to look with you. It’s hard to direct that from here, as every host is a bit different.

    Cheers,
