    Hi,

after updating to 2.5.1 I have issues with login.
User canno’t logout from the page. It redirects to correct page but the user is still logged in.
If I’m the admin and I will use the option “Logout” from the page (ACT16) it will logout me from the CP, but I will be still logged on the page.

    EE: ExpressionEngine 2.5.1
    MSM: 2.1.3

EDIT: the issues it seems to be related with the main page, the /other_pages are ok (user is logged out).

    Hey nicomsw,

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

I have not seen any other indication of this issue with 2.5.1. Is this on the main site or is this an MSM site?

Have you tried this in more than one browser? Just wondering about this one, it’s probably the same across all.

Were there any other server changes?

Can you tell me about your Add-Ons? Were they all updated as well?

Are you using any Control Panel themes?

    Please let me know!

    Cheers,

    Hi Shane,

I have tried the Safari, Chrome, Firefox on Mac and the same plus IE on the Win - issue still persist. But, when I erase cache in the Chrome it will log in.
Add-Ons are updated and I’m not using the CP themes.

    Hey nicomsw,

Did you follow the update instructions?

One of the steps is to clear the ExpressionEngine Cache.

Can you give that a try?

    Cheers,

    Hey nicomsw,

I think I need to get in there and take a look around.

Please be on the lookout for an email from EllisLab.

The problem here was resolved by explicitly setting the cookie domain for each of the MSM sites. That meant making sure this line wasn’t in config.php:

    $config['cookie_domain'] = '';

Then I went into the cookie settings in each site’s CP and explicitly set the cookie domain like so:

    That cleared it up!
