Hi,

After moving an Expression Engine setup to a new server for a freelance client, I’m having issues with the admin panel not being styled properly. I’ve changed all the URLs in the system settings, but it still doesn’t format the control panel right. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Hi christiner, double check your Theme Folder Path is correct in Admin -> System Preferences -> General Configuration.

If you are getting difficulty to set from General Configuration, go to config file (system/expressionengine/config/config.php)

and add following config variables :

$config['theme_folder_url'] = "URL OF THEME FOLDER LIKE <a href="http://yoursite.com/theme/">http://yoursite.com/theme/"</a>;
$config['theme_folder_path'] = "DIRECTORY PATH OF THEME FOLDER";

also check if config variables are already assigned and having correct values.

Thank you both so much! I was able to fix the problem by correcting the path. It turns out what I thought was correct wasn’t.

How do the “URL to your Themes Folder” and the “Theme Folder Path” differ?

URL to your Themes Folder
https://secure.uptownbaptistchurch.org/themes/

and

Theme Folder Directory Path
home/username/secure.uptownbaptistchurch.org/

But no luck.

Any ideas?
