I’ve created a custom field where I am adding a URL to an image. EE is inserting href tags to it automatically in the template and I don’t want anything around it.
For custom field formatting options, i have tried all 3 options: none, auto
and xhtml and none of them seem to fix the problem.
Please help.

Under “Admin > Weblog Admin > Weblog Management > (your weblog) > Weblog Posting Preferences” there is an option to “Automatically turn URLs and email addresses into links.” Try changing this to “No” and see if that fixes the problem.
