    Hello Everyone,

I’m writting there, totally hopeless. :blank: I have been struggling with trying to solve my problem the whole day long by I still do not know how or what to do. Here is my issue.

I am currently building a site for a bank. The site I am building will only deal with the “presentation” part of the bank site. (Managing bank accounts and securized things are handled yet, apart).

    I need :
    - An index page which will list 3 levels of pages : Universes, Rubric, Sub-Rubric and Content pages. There is a menu at the top of the page with a link to each universe. On the left, there is a dropdown navigating menu like :

    —Private persons (Rubric)
    —- Insurances (Sub-Rubric)
    ——Protect your goods (Content Pages)
    ——Protect your family (Content Pages)
    —- Your daily money
    ——Your account
    ——Your payment tools
    —Professionnal (Rubric)
    —- Professionnal Insurances (Sub-Rubric)
    ——Protect your enterprise
    —- Finance your activity (Rubric)
    ——Your investments (Sub_Rubric)

    - A Rubrics page : dynamically lists the rubric and sub-rubric
    - A sub_rubric page : dynamically lists the content pages
    - Content pages : Shows the details for the product. There are different types of fields according to the rubric / sub_rubric. These pages may contain custom forms.

How can I do this ? I tried by adding a relation between Rubric And Sub-Rubric but then I do not know how to display them ordered by Rubric.

    Anyone could help me ?

    Hi Esparon,

Your needs seem like a good fit for Categories!

Mike Boyink has a great tutorial on Train-ee that explains how to use Categories in ExpressionEngine to build Navigation.

Let me know if you have any questions!

    Cheers,

    I will try it 😊
My boss got me Ryan Irelan’s book and I am following his tutorial to learn EE. It is well explained but I still need to practice on his example to understand how to make it fit exactly my need. I will come back if I have any further questions. There is still something ... Like a small pebble in my shoe that disturbs me.

Sorry for the late news but I just came to tell you categories did resolve my problem. I twined them with a few channels to make then match exactly my needs.

The topic may be closed now.

    Thanks for your help 😊
