Will EE work to organize a file hosting site?

Hi, I"m trying to start a file hosting site, i am renting space from amazon, and I have built a dedicated server. I need to know if EE can make a good go between my local server/web portal and amazon where I will hold the file that my users will upload?

I don’t fully understand the idea here. Are you planning to run ExpressionEngine on your localhost server and somehow bridge that with Amazon?

I need a bit more detail on the overall scope to give you a fair answer. However, ExpressionEngine can handle quite a lot, so chances are good.
