Hi,

I need to do something like this: i have a channel call vending_machine,
vending machine have parts need to service, each vending machine and each part of it have own duration to service,
and I need to list out the parts need to service when it is overdue.

is there any easier way to do this?

A machine has many parts.

Parts “expire” and need to be serviced.

If that’s the case then you’re data structure appears to be correct. You might want to look into either Pixel & Tonic’s Matrix or Playa.
